GdS: Milan join Roma and Lazio in race to land €10m Hellas Verona midfielder

AC Milan are in the running to land Hellas Verona star Mattia Zaccagni, a report claims, along with the two Roman clubs.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) states that there is a derby in progress to grab the Gialloblù midfielder with Roma and Lazio concretely moving to acquire him. Hellas have made it clear that they do not want to lose Zaccagni until the end of the season, but a deal could change things as every player has their price.

However, the paper reports that Milan also have a concrete interest in the 25-year-old who impressed in the 2-2 draw at San Siro earlier this season. Milan seem to have a soft spot for those who show talent against them, like Jens Petter Hauge and Celtic’s Edouard.

The player is more of an attacking midfielder, similar to Calhanoglu, capable of covering both the centre of the field and the wing. If Castillejo were to leave, Zaccagni could be a great replacement and would cost only €10m.
