GdS: Milan launch first bid of €12m for defensive target; talks planned over Fiorentina star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made an offer for Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan in an attempt to finally get a deal over the line, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), directors Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini already tried to sign Simakan in the last days of the summer transfer window and are ready to make another offer in January.

The paper in fact adds that Milan have put on the table a proposal worth €12million to the Ligue 1 club, but until a few weeks ago Strasbourg were asking for €18m. It is of course possible to infer that an agreement could be found halfway, perhaps with the inclusion of bonuses, at around the €15m mark.

Nikola Milenkovic’s name remains in the background, the report adds, with his agent Fali Ramadani set to meet with the Milan management on Tuesday to discuss the Serbian. However, he is more likely to leave next summer rather than next month given Fiorentina’s delicate situation.
