GdS: Milan make decision regarding future of Real Madrid loanee – Maldini’s plan outlined

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are convinced by Brahim Diaz and are set to talk with Real Madrid in order to try and keep him for at least another season, a report claims.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes that Milan will try to keep Brahim for another year as the idea of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara is to try to extend the player’s loan by one season.

Of course, we must established whether Real Madrid will agree to this hypothesis as they might prefer to keep him for next season or potentially to try and sell him on a permanent basis to try and raise funds in other areas, with his price tag likely to be over €20m.

It must be mentioned that relations between Maldini and Real Madrid are excellent, so a new loan agreement can not be completely ruled out, and there may be an option to buy inserted in favour of Milan to make the deal worthwhile.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old is fully involved in the Milan project for this season and is keen to make his contribution to the Rossoneri’s potential return to the Champions League. So far he has 5 goals and 3 assists in the 31 games he has played.
