By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made it clear that they wish to keep Giacomo Bonaventura beyond the end of the season, a report claims.

It was claimed by MilanNews.it on Wednesday evening that agent Mino Raiola met with the Milan leadership to discuss a potential deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but that the Swede was not the only topic of discussion.

The report claimed that it is likely Giacomo Bonaventura’s future was discussed, as well as the potential of news deals for Suso and Alessio Romagnoli.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – via MilanNews.it – Milan made it clear to Raiola that they would like to keep Bonaventura as they consider him a ‘precious element’ – not only from a technical point of view but likely also in terms of the experience he provides.

Bonaventura recently recovered from a long-term injur which required surgery, and was in the starting XI for Marco Giampaolo’s last game in charge (a 2-1 win over Genoa) for the first time since Milan played Real Betis in the Europa League on October 25 2018.
