GdS: Milan player ratings for Lecce win – six players score highly

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of AC Milan players have drawn praise for their performances during yesterday’s comfortable 3-0 win against Lecce at San Siro.

Milan made a rapid start thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud, and when the away side went down to 10 men for a reckless high boot it effectively killed the contest. Rafael Leao put things beyond doubt in the second half.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), has their ratings from the game, starting with the overall performance of the team and Stefano Pioli’s management, which were both given a 7 out of 10.

The best player on the pitch was Pulisic in the playmaker role and he got a 7.5, while Fikayo Tomori was the ‘worst’ player even though he was given a 6.

Mike Maignan and Matteo Gabbia each got a 6, while Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez got half a point more, as did Tijjani Reijnders.

Yacine Adli, Samuel Chukwueze, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud stood out too, getting a score of 7, with the latter two getting on the scoresheet either side of the halfway mark.

The trio who came off the bench – Simon Kjaer, Luka Jovic and Yunus Musah – each got a 6.
