Milan returned to winning ways in the league on Sunday afternoon, beating Monza 3-0 at San Sir. The game was ultimately won in the first half through goals from Tijjani Reijnders and Jan-Carlo Simic, and then Noah Okafor added a third.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has their ratings from the lunchtime kick-off at San Siro, starting with the team’s overall performance and Stefano Pioli’s management, both of which earned a 7 out of 10.

The man of the match with Jan-Carlo Simic as he got a goal in his Serie A debut after coming off the bench, scoring 6.5, while the ‘worst’ player was Ruben Loftus-Cheek who still got a 6.

Mike Maignan, Tijjani Reijnders and Rafael Leao were each given a 7, while Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjaer, Alessandro Florenzi, Theo Hernandez, Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud all got a 6.5.

Noah Okafor scored off the bench before having to come off due to injury, scoring a 6.5, then Ismael Bennacer got more minutes under his belt and was given a 6.

  1. Okafor was on the pitch for 13 mins. He almost scored a beautiful curling shot only for the keeper to make a great save. He then scored finishing nicely a great team move.
He played some great passes also.
All in all he was a real bright spark and much more effective than Leao, yet he gets 6.5 and Leao gets 7.0.
    Makes no sense
