GdS: Milan player ratings for Red Star draw – six praised while duo are criticised

By Oliver Fisher -

Theo Hernandez was the man of the match during AC Milan’s 2-2 draw with Red Star in the Europa League Round of 32 first leg.

That is according to La Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings this morning, as the paper (via MilanNews) awards Theo a 6.5 out of 10 because he won the penalty and also scored it, in addition to being involved in other bright passages.

The same score was also given to Gianluigi Donnarumma, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori, Rade Krunic and Sandro Tonali. Rafael Leao was given a 6 out of 10, while there was half a point less for Alessio Romagnoli (naive on the penalty), Ismael Bennacer, Samuel Castillejo and Ante Rebic.

Finally, both Soualiho Meite and Mario Mandzukic were criticised as they got a 5. The former was not consistent and lost Pavkov for the 2-2, while the Croatian never made himself dangerous and still looks to be lacking a bit from a match fitness point of view.
