GdS: Milan player ratings for Spezia loss – disappointments across the board

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan reached yet another low point in their season yesterday evening as they were beaten 2-0 by a Spezia side that hadn’t won for two months at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the team’s performance which was rather generously given a 5 out of 10, as was Stefano Pioli’s management.

The best player on the pitch was Sandro Tonali who did a good job in the midfield, earning a 6.5, while Ante Rebic once again looked lost leading the line and thus scored a 4.5 which was the joint-lowest mark given out.

Mike Maignan got a 6.5, while Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer and Theo Hernandez each struggled and received a 5, with Fikayo Tomori half a mark better.

Tommaso Pobega didn’t really get into the speed of the game against his former side and got a 5, while Alexis Saelemaekers underwhelmed on his return to the right wing and got the same.

Brahim Diaz got a 4.5 and Divock Origi a 5 to round off a disappointing attack. Off the bench, Fode Ballo-Toure (5), Charles De Ketelaere (5) and Yacine Adli (6) failed to add much.
