It was the defence that particularly impressed with Malick Thiaw and Theo Hernandez both scoring 7.5 out of 10. Simon Kjaer got a 7, with Pierre Kalulu getting a 6.5.
Stefano Pioli got a 7 for his effective changes that kept the lead intact and could have led to more goals for Milan. Sandro Tonali, Olivier Giroud and Brahim Diaz all impressed, scoring 7/10.
Rafael Leao, Ciprian Tatarusanu and Rade Krunic did not stand out but played their part, getting 6.5, whilst Alexis Saelemaekers managed a 6. Charles De Ketelaere only got 5.5 for his cameo from the bench, whilst Junior Messias got 6.5 for his.
I think CdK did enough for a 6, that is a bit harsh. The team looked much better in the 3-4-3 and you could see a bit of the magic we had last season. The potential of this group, if we can keep them together, is absolutely immense.
I thought Alexis did a good job at RWB. He kept the left side of Tottenham quite throughout the game, made a great save too. He deserves a 7.
Just to say what a good performance AC Milan put up against Tottenham..Defence absolutely solid .
All players did well .Rafeol leao was much more himself and very difficult to stop ..Also attacking wise we did well ..Olivier Giroud looked so strong and won so many Ariel battles..Yes he did not score ,but he set up to glorious chances for us ..Only disappointment was the score ..Yes we won the game and fully deserved it but it should not have been 1-0 but 2-0
That said of course will can still get a result ,especially with the solid defence we had ..I think the confidence is back with the team ,that’s great news as we can and should finish in the top four in the scuddeto..
So all is not lost ..Yes indeed we can be in the last 8 of the champions leauge ,,,brilliant.
