GdS: Milan raise offer to Calhanoglu with new talks planned – the possible meeting point

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are moving towards an agreement with Hakan Calhanoglu over a new contract but are not quite there yet, a report claims.

Time is winding down on the Turkey international’s current contract – which is set to expire in just six months – but what has filtered from the major outlets since the meeting between the management and his agent Gordon Stipic earlier in the week has all been positive.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) focuses on the negotiations for the renewal of Calhanoglu, confirming that the meeting on January 13 between Paolo Maldini and Stipic will be repeated shortly.

Maldini and Massara have gone up to €4million net per season in salary in order to extend the agreement, but the request at the moment is €5m per year.

The paper adds though that it is expected the inclusion of bonuses can help bridge the gap and keep Calhanoglu at the club.
