GdS: Milan player ratings for Dinamo Zagreb win – Leao and Pobega shine

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of AC Milan players drew praise for their performance during the 3-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League last night.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) started their ratings by giving Milan’s performance overall a score of 7 out of 10 as they managed to control the game well, while Stefano Pioli got the same mark for his game plan.

The man of the match was Rafael Leao, receiving a 7 for winning the penalty and providing the assist for Alexis Saelemaekers, and while they picked out Davide Calabria as the most disappointing he actually scored a 6.

Mike Maignan, Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori also got a 6 with Theo Hernandez registering half a mark higher. Both Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer got a 6.5 in the double pivot too.

Goal scorer Alexis Saelemaekers got a 6.5, Brahim Diaz got the same and Olivier Giroud did too. Charles De Ketelaere came off the bench and earned a 7, with Sergino Dest N/A.

  1. you forgot to mention Pobega who was wonderful.
All the subs and the transition to new tactics made good to the team. We could score more in the end

  2. I have a feeling Alexis Saelemaekers van score a hattrick and GDS would still not give him a 7.

They rate Messias on the same level. MESSIAS… the dude who falls asleep every game.
