GdS: Milan ratings for Juventus draw – Rebic, Romagnoli excellent; Hernandez costs his team

Ante Rebic was once again on top form for AC Milan during their Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus.

The Rossoneri and Bianconeri drew 1-1 at San Siro on Thursday night in a game filled with controversy. After Rebic had given the Rossoneri the lead with a second half volley, Theo Hernandez was shown a second yellow card and was subsequently sent off.

Then, in the closing stages of the game Valeri decided to award a penalty to Juve after a shot from Cristiano Ronaldo hit the arm of Davide Calabria from around a yard away, and the Portuguese tucked away the spot kick to secure a draw.

Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) has offered their player ratings for the game, and gave the Man of the Match award to Ante Rebic, who got a 7/10.

Captain Alessio Romagnoli got the same score, recovering well from a disappointing second half in the Derby della Madonnina,, while Simon Kjaer, Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer all scored 6.5.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, Davide Calabria, Samu Castillejo, Hakan Calhanoglu, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and substitute Diego Laxalt were all given scores of 6.

The only poor mark was given to Theo Hernandez (5), who was sent off in the second half, leaving his companions outnumbered.
