GdS: Milan ready to enter talks over Bonaventura’s renewal; the player’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are intent on keeping midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura beyond the length of his current deal, according to a report.

The 30-year-old spent a long time out last season due to an injury sustained last October, but has recently made his return to the fold, starting for the first time under Stefano Pioli in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Napoli.

He repaid Pioli’s faith by getting on the scoresheet, firing home a venomous effort in the first half to cancel out Hirving Lozano’s opener.

However, the 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and attention has now turned to a possible new deal.

According to Gazzetta.it – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan will meet with Mino Raiola over the possibility of extending Bonaventura’s contract.

The talks will start from the clear will of the player, who is happy with the Rossoneri and for he would like to prolong his relationship with the club.
