GdS: Milan ready to let €35m man leave if Ibrahimovic arrives

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan would allow Krzysztof Piatek to leave on loan if Zlatan Ibrahimovic chose to return to the club, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have struggled to score goals all season, having found the back of the net just 11 times in the opening 12 games, which has contributed to a points return of just 13.

As a result, there is speculation that Milan could undergo a mini overhaul of the attacking department in the January window, and there are persistent links regarding a return for Ibrahimovic.

Sport Mediaset journalist Claudio Raimondi even claimed (via MilanNews.it) that Zlatan has made it clear that a reunion with Milan is his first choice, with Elliott Management happy to sign him under certain conditions.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Ibrahimovic’s arrival could see a striker leave in turn.

The newspaper claims that Krzysztof Piatek would be sent out on loan in event of the Swede’s return to the club, and the same outlet recently stated (via MilanNews.it) that Genoa would welcome the striker back with open arms.

Milan signed the Poland international from the Grifone back in January for €35million (as per OneFootball), but he has scored just one goal from open play so far this season.
