GdS: Milan set for more talks over Ibrahimovic’s renewal as €2.5m difference remains

There is still a substantial difference between AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic regarding the salary for his renewal, a report claims.

In exactly one week, Milan will meet at Milanello to begin their preseason preparations and the renewal of Ibrahimovic remains a priority but ha not yet arrived.

According to MilanNews, the Swede has asked for a salary of about €7.5m net for a new one-year deal, while Milan have proposed €5m with bonuses that would allow him to earn over €6m.

New contacts between the parties is expected on Monday to try to get closer to an agreement that satisfies everyone, and the management hope that the striker will lower his demands, also because Elliott Management are convinced that they have made a good offer.

The Milan ownership are not seem willing to go any higher and therefore hope Ibrahimovic adjusts his demands, but Stefano Pioli is desperate to keep the 38-year-old.
