GdS: Milan still believe in Mandzukic despite rough start – a renewal cannot be excluded

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on Mario Mandzukic and believe he could still prove to be worth keeping for next season, a report claims.

Mandzukic arrived in the January market together with Fikayo Tomori and Soualiho Meite and has not yet had the chance to help his team-mates, having played just 158 minutes so far with his start to life at Milan not helped by a muscle problem.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SpazioMilan) analyses the situation linked to the future of Mandzukic, whose experience with the Rossoneri, as mentioned, has not been very positive due to various physical problems.

Despite this, Milan do not seem to have abandoned the idea of exercising their option to renew his contract at the end of the season. The paper adds that at Milanello they still believe in the former Bayern Munich and Juventus striker and therefore an extension cannot be excluded.
