GdS: Milan to scout €40m Fiorentina star on Sunday – Maldini has a plan to lower asking price

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are keen on signing Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina and have a plan in mind to lower his asking price, according to a report.

Despite La Viola’s poor season so far, Vlahovic is leading the line admirably having netted 12 league goals in 26 appearances so far, including a first half hat-trick against Benevento at the weekend which appears to have attracted some interest.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that at the moment Vlahovic does not seem willing to consider renewing with Fiorentina despite the offer of his pay tripling, which has alerted the antennae of Roma and Milan.

For now, no official offers have been made to the player nor to the Florence-based club, but the Milan leadership could soon make their move. On Sunday, Fiorentina-Milan will take place at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, an extra chance for the Diavolo to get a close look at the 21-year-old striker who has a valuation that is around €40million euros.

This is an sizeable amount that the management would like to lower by inserting a technical counterpart or by proposing a swap deal with La Viola.

  1. 40mil For Vlahovic? What is this world coming to? Best to cough up the extra 20 mil to buy Halland who is a proven goalscorer. Prior to this season Vlahovic best season was 8 goals last year.
