GdS: Milan could feature in Trofeo Berlusconi again amid Monza’s promotion

AC Milan could make a comeback in the Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi amid Monza’s promotion to Serie A, as the two clubs are open to partnerships of various kinds. This was reported by Italian media this morning.

The competition, which consists of an annual friendly between two teams, made its return last year as Monza faced Juventus. Prior to that, Milan had taken part in every single edition of the competition, amid a five-year hiatus.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan could make a comeback in the competition amid Monza’s promotion to Serie A. The relations between the club are obviously great and it would make a lot of sense.

Given their tight schedule, though, it remains to be seen if there is time for Milan to take part in the competition. It all depends on when Monza intend to organise the game, of course, as last year’s edition took place in July.
