There is no denying the impact that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made since his arrival back at AC Milan, and the club want to extend his stay beyond June according to a report.
The fans and his team-mates are hoping that the experience with the Swede will last more than just six months as beyond goals (three in nine games from January to today), he has brought experience and leadership to a young and fragile locker room.
Everyone agrees that the impact of Ibrahimovic has been a beneficial one: managers, team, coach. Everyone, no one excluded.
According to Tuesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban appreciate Ibrahimovic’s work to the extent that they are willing to submit the offer of a contract extension for a further 12 months.
The paper adds that the proposal will arrive before the end of the season and would be ‘difficult to decline’ for the former PSG man, despite the fact he will turn 39 this year.
Essentially, all the conditions are present for continuing together, but it is not excluded that he will demand a more competitive supporting cast for next season in order to commit his future.
