AC Milan have reportedly run into difficulties in their pursuit of two players from LaLiga, namely Yunus Musah and Samuel Chukwueze.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) writes that Musah is a candidate for the midfield because of his ability to carry the ball, his potential and the fact he has an Italian passport, but for now things have stalled.
Milan made an offer to Valencia in the €16m region which was not enough has not been increased. The Rossoneri have an agreement with the player over personal terms at €2m net per year, but the LaLiga side are proving to be tough to crack.
Valencia have received some expressions of interest, above all from Fulham, but no concrete offers yes. Nicolas Dominguez of Bologna is an alternative for Milan, who Stefano Pioli likes.
Meanwhile, Villarreal are asking for €30m to sell Chukwueze which is deemed too much given he has just a year left on his deal. Plan B is Mehdi Taremi from Porto, who would fill the last non-EU spot as a striker.
Then there is the idea of using Christian Pulisic on the right wing and also potentially accelerating for Gustav Isaksen of FC Midtjylland.
I agree forget about Musah and Chukeweze and get Gustav Isaksen as he fits our profile of younger players. If the Daichi Kamada bridge is not burned down yet maybe we can revisit him and his desire to play for Milan. Dominguez would be a nice addition as well.
I don’t know why Gnonto isn’t a target for the wing. Italian national team player that has Premier League experience and would cost less than Isaksen that only played in Denmark.
Because he’s Italian. Overpriced and no Growth Decree. Sad but true.
Does anyone know if we lose the Non EU spot should no one arrive to fill it? iN other words, if Milan leave it open until winter to try and sign Chuk, would we still have it available?
