GdS: Milan only willing to pay €1m to accelerate Sportiello’s arrival – the latest

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan already have an agreement with Marco Sportiello for the summer but an early move, as had been suggested, doesn’t seem likely for the time being. In fact, Atalanta are playing hardball on that front.

Sportiello’s contract will expire at the end of the season and Milan have reached an agreement on a deal from the summer. Due to the injury of Mike Maignan, the idea of accelerating his arrival has been proposed but it doesn’t seem likely.

Atalanta need to find a new goalkeeper to let Sportiello go this month and Milan are only willing to pay €1m, per Gazzetta Dello port (via MilanNews). This isn’t enough to convince the Bergamo side and that’s why Sportiello won’t arrive until the summer.

Ciprian Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante are both expected to leave Milan in the summer and that’s why the Rossoneri also brought in the 24-year-old Devis Vasquez. It remains to be seen if the latter will get some playing time already this season.
