GdS: Milan willing to spend €20m on Swiss forward – Salzburg’s stance

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have been linked with Noah Okafor for quite some time and with the summer approaching fast, it remains to be seen if a negotiation will be started. The Rossoneri have already decided their max offer for him.

Milan are looking for a striker to strengthen their team ahead of next season, with Olivier Giroud getting older and Zlatan Ibrahimovic expected to leave. Okafor has been linked with them for quite some time, even if he’s not a proper centre-forward.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on the Swiss international especially since his contract with Salzburg will expire in 2024. For that reason, Milan are only willing to spend a maximum of €20m.

Salzburg, however, belive that the player is worth more despite the contract situation and it remains to be seen if they will come to their senses. This season, Okafor has found the back of the net ten times and assisted an additional five goals.

  1. Not the right profile for me. Openda should be 1st choice and 2nd Florian Balogun and 3rd choice Boulaye Dia.

    1. okafor can play as rw and for me its openda or david or orban or boniface and other option for rw is wahi

  2. No, Noah Okafor is the best and right player Milan need for their forward is a best and solid players infact I have followed Noah Okafor and other striker Milan intended to sign but Noah Okafor is far outstanding he’s solid infact best for acmilan to sign him

  3. I think Okafor is more of a team player than the rest being linked to the club. A player who can help the team from the middle is more welcome to the club

  4. These owners won’t spend the necessary 50-60M in a proven consistent established striker – that is what we need but these owners are too cheap to spend to get one. So instead we are left with Antuovic or a player like Okafor – has potential but inconsistent and still unproven in a bigger club/league. This is the Redbird/Elliot model. It will not change no matter how far we go or even if we win CL. Sad

    1. Facts and it’s sickening because we have accountants here who will be defending the club transfer strategy while we miss bright prospects while we look at cheap options and we don’t reinforce with proven free agents. Our rivals go for proven players at best hence they are a class above us. I don’t understand when you new ownership and it feels like you there was no change in ownership.
