GdS: Milan’s XI for Roma trip – One key change from game vs. Lecce

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is reportedly set to make just one change to the starting XI he fielded against Lecce for Sunday’s game against Roma.

The Rossoneri travel to the capital this weekend looking for their fourth win of the season against a Giallorossi side who currently sit three points above in the standings.

Milan know a win at the Stadio Olimpico would see them leapfrog Roma, and Pioli will be hoping to build on an excellent first 45 minutes in last weekend’s draw with Lecce.

According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Milan boss clearly has that opening half in mind as he is set to field an almost entirely unchanged XI.

The paper reports that the only change Pioli will make is to bring Davide Calabria – back from suspension – in for Andrea Conti at right-back.

That means that Rafael Leao will once again get the nod over Krzysztof Piatek as the centre-forward, while there will again be space for just two of Milan’s six summer signings.
