GdS: Kolo Muani one of three players on Maldini’s wish list for the attack

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to bolster the attack in the summer and as a result, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have set aside part of the budget for just that. In particular, there are three players on their wish list.

Olivier Giroud, while still performing on a very high level, isn’t exactly getting any younger and the same can be said for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Meanwhile, Divock Origi has struggled with many injuries since arriving in the summer.

For next season, therefore, Maldini and Massara are keen on bolstering that department, as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport. Salzburg man Noah Okafor has been mentioned the most, but since he’s more of a second striker Milan are hesitant.

The Switzerland international has the right age, characteristics and salary demands, but he would perhaps be more relevant if Rafael Leao were to leave. That’s a scenario that Milan fans certainly don’t want to even consider at the moment.

In addition to Okafor, Milan are still interested in Lille striker Jonathan David, who has been linked with the club for many years now. He’s still very young (22) and the Rossoneri see him as a concrete option.

Finally, Milan have reignited their interest in Randall Kolo Muani. Maldini and Massara considered him on a free transfer from Nantes but the negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt were already in the final stretch. Now, Milan could consider a €30m summer attempt.

    1. It also stings to have to pay that much for a player we could have had if the club had really wanted him. Who cares if the deal with Eintracht was in the final stages, it’s not over until he’s signed so get in there with a better offer and hijack the deal. Happens all the time. My theory is we didn’t want to upset Eintracht as we’ve had a couple of deals with them recently, and I respect that.

  1. Kolo Muani? Huhh! The kid who missed so many chances in the final. I’d prefer Ben Yedder rather than opting for him. We need quality players not some doughbags.

  2. Ben Yedder is too old and too egoistic… Milan is on a project of buying young talented player… this way when they sell the player, they can earn some cash…
    Leao is an example

    1. We cannot depend on young players all the time, bro. We got trashed by struggling Chelsea in the Champions League and it’s not worth it. We need to have a strong mentality to beat a very physical team in the form of spurs in the next fixture.
