GdS: Offer arrives for Rebic but it is not convincing – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

A first offer has come in for winger Ante Rebic but it is not one that particularly convinces the management, a report claims.

It ended up being a disappointing season for Rebic but it started in a very positive way with a brace against Udinese in the first game of the campaign, before injury problems and general inconsistency saw things go downhill.

Things got so bad that by end of the season head coach Stefano Pioli even decided not to call him up for the final three games because he was dissatisfied with the way that the Croatian was training.

According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) are reporting, Rebic is in the sights of Besiktas but at the moment the Turkish side are only willing to discuss a loan deal.

The reason is purely economic, because Besiktas have no intention at the moment of spending €5-6m on a permanent deal, especially when the play currently gets €3.5m net per season from the Rossoneri.

It is unlikely that Milan will accept a loan offer with the shared payment of Rebic’s salary so there is a stand-by while they await other offers from abroad.

    1. No, Maldini is no longer there. That was then, now he’ll leave for 100million. New management and comments section says so 😂

      1. LOLOLOLOLO – agreed the magician Furlani will get at least 100M from a Rebic sale lol.

For only 3-5M May as well keep him – can’t even find a back up at that price.

      2. Stop this, already. Maldini did not do anything that had not been done before. There’s nothing so special about him being at the club as a director. He might as well buy the club himself and run it anyhow he deems fit but for now someone else is calling the shots and I believe they will do just fine. So let’s stop acting as if the whole world has crumbled.

        1. Did not do anything that had not been done before?

Who convinced players to sign for Milan with low salary/wage? Furlani? Galliani? Li Yonghong? Leonardo?

          1. Just move on . AC Milan are bigger than Maldini and will still alive even without Maldini. Director,Coach,Player even owner can come and go but AC Milan will be still there

  1. Just take whatever they offer and move on. At the very least we can save on wages. We have players to cover him, Maldini, Adli, Origi – all offer different qualities.

    1. Well, every player can drop of form, stop play as usually, or got big injury. That is fact of sport. And then you have player on salary who can’t be sold.

But Rebic salary is not so monstrous big. But management must calculate is it better to keep him on bench for longer time, if he can’t be sold for at least 10 million.

  3. Rebic already lost passion and his performance downgrade because injury. Sell him permanent or loan him until his contract expire ( no sharing salary just let other club pay his full salary ) . Keep him next season will ruin our depth and not good for dressing room due to his attitude
