GdS: One thing left to resolve in Ibrahimovic talks – market on hold until signature arrives

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are optimistic about the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a report claims, but there is still an issue that needs resolving.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri’s summer window revolves around the future of the Swede, because everything is on standby until they have his signature.

There is a knot to solve, and it is of an economic nature. The paper claims that the parties are negotiating on bonuses, which would turn a fixed €5m salary for a one-year extension into one that could surpass €6m based on team and personal objectives.

The agreement has not yet been reached, but there are no particular worries at Casa Milan. Ibrahimovic has already expressed his will to stay and the Rossoneri management are confident.

However, it will not be sorted before Ferragosto on the 15th as things stand, and being on hold isn’t exactly ideal given the team meet for training in 10 days.
