Hakan Calhanoglu has finally tested negative for Coronavirus but will not feature during today’s game against Bologna, meaning Stefano Pioli will look for solutions.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports (via MilanNews), when considering the absence of Brahim Diaz as well as Calhanoglu, Pioli will not have a natural playmaker in Bologna so will have to make a virtue of necessity and choose from what he has.
The paper claims that the Rossoneri head coach will field Rafael Leao as a No.10, with Saelemaekers on the right and Rebic on the left. Milan will therefore go in search of victory with a more “liquid” 4-2-3-1, which could transform to a 4-4-2 during the match with the Portuguese forward playing off Zlatan.
Leao has already played that position during his time of Lille, so Pioli and Milan expect a lot from the youngster, who is proving to be a real wild card in the attack.
