Schalke are interested in signing AC Milan full-back Ricardo Rodriguez before the window closes, a report claims.
The arrival of Theo Hernandez from Real Madrid in a €20million deal appears to have put Rodriguez’s starting berth under severe threat.

It was reported on Monday that Hernandez is currently considered ahead of the Swiss international in the pecking order, while Milan have four left-backs currently on the books.
We reported back in June that offers were being invited for the 26-year-old, while last week the player’s brother even responded to speculation about a potential exit.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday however (via MilanNews.it), Rodriguez is considering some proposals that have come from Germany after finding out he is a deputy to Hernandez.
Schalke 04 are named specifically as admirers of the former Wolfsburg man, with their new head coach David Wagner targeting an upgrade at full-back.
Rodriguez arrived at San Siro in 2017 for a fee of €15m plus bonuses, and has gone on to make 88 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri, amassing four goals and six assists.
