AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will field a strong starting line-up against Vicenza in today’s friendly, according to a report.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli will treat the game at the Stadio Romeo Menti as a bit of a dry run ahead of the game against Udinese at San Siro one week from today that will kick off the campaign.
The paper claims that that Mike Maignan will be in goal with a defence of Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of him. Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer are tipped to be in the double pivot.
Junior Messias should get the start on the right wing with Brahim Diaz expected to play as the playmaker. Rafael Leao will be on the left wing and Olivier Giroud the centre-forward.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Bennacer; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
Diaz instead of Adli? Is this his final chance?
Same thought
There is a reason why such a match is called friendly. Why don’t we try CDK for the whole game? Why don’t we test Adli in CDM position? We should start with Popega and test him.
