GdS: Probable XIs for Empoli vs. Milan – six changes from Napoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make numerous changes to the starting line-up to face Empoli compared to the team that lost to Napoli before the break.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Ciprian Tatarusanu will play in goal as Mike Maignan is injured, with Fode Ballo-Toure coming into the back four in place of Theo Hernandez. The rest of the defence will be made up of Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori.

Sandro Tonali and Tommaso Pobega are expected to form the double pivot with Ismael Bennacer dropping to the bench after having been involved with Algeria over the international.

The attack should be made up of Junior Messias on the right wing, Charles De Ketelaere as the playmaker, Rafael Leao on the left wing and Olivier Giroud.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Ballo-Toure; Tonali, Pobega; Messias, De Ketelaere, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Empoli XI (4-3-1-2): Vicario; Stojanovic, De Winter, Luperto, Parisi; Haas, Marin, Bandinelli; Pjaca; Lammers, Satriano.
