GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Barcelona – Rossoneri to face two ex-players

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are gearing up for their final friendly of their USA tour and they should field a strong starting line-up against Barcelona, a report claims.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan should field a back four of Alessandro Florenzi, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of Mike Maignan, with Davide Calabria not risked.

The same midfield trio should take the field as the one that played against Juventus with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders either side of Rade Krunic.

The front three should remain the same too with Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao on the right and left wings respectively and Olivier Giroud the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Florenzi, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.

Probable Barcelona XI (4-2-3-1): Pena; Dest, Kounda, Eric, Marcos; Sergi Roberto, Kessie; Raphinha, Fermin, Ansu Fati; Ferran Torres.

  1. what time is it played in CET. I assume around 4 o’ clock but knowing the time differences in usa i thought its better to ask here again than missing the match.

  2. If the Krunic rumours are really true and they’re advancing to the point Krunic wants to leave they won’t play him you’d think

          1. Still, the question remain the same, can Fenerbache really pay him the amount which will end up in his pocket significantly higher than what will end up in his pocket if he stay at Milan?

  3. GdS still refusing to acknowledge that Milan has not played a 4-3-3 so far in preseason. Along with almost everyone else in the Milan cyberuniverse…

  4. technically you are allowed to invert the middle triangle and call it a 4 3 3 so i dont think any laws are being broken…
