GdS: Probable XIs for Real Madrid vs. Milan – Rossoneri without internationals

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will face their first big test of preseason as they take on Real Madrid in California in the early hours of Monday morning.

The likes of Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez, Pierre Kalulu, Olivier Giroud Charles De Ketelaere are not available having just returned to training following an extended break due to international commitments.

As a result, Milan will field a slightly strange line-up which features Marco Sportiello in goal, Davide Calabria at right-back, Alessandro Florenzi at left-back and a centre-back pairing of Matteo Gabbia and Fikayo Tomori.

Rade Krunic should be the deepest of the midfield three with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tommaso Pobega either side of him, with Ismael Bennacer out for a few more months yet.

The attacking trident should feature Junior Messias on the right side, Christian Pulisic – back in his home country – on the left and Lorenzo Colombo as the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Sportiello; Calabria, Gabbia, Tomori, Florenzi; Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Pobega; Messias, Colombo, Pulisic.

Probable Real Madrid XI (4-4-2): Courtois; Lucas, Militao, Nacho, Mendy; Valverde, Kroos, Camavinga, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Vinicius.
