AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to make some forced changes to his starting line-up for tonight’s game against Napoli, a report claims.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Mike Maignan will be in goal with a back four of Alessandro Florenzi, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli and Fode Ballo-Toure, with Theo Hernandez currently struggling with a fever and therefore unlikely to get the nod as things stand even though he was named in the squad.
Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie should be in the double pivot with Junior Messias on the right wing, Brahim Diaz as the playmaker and Rade Krunic on the left wing behind striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Tomori, Romagnoli, Ballo-Toure; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Krunic; Ibrahimovic.
Napoli meanwhile will be without the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Mario Rui, Fabian Ruiz, Lorenzo Insigne and Victor Osimhen – five key players that most likely would have started this game had they been at Spalletti’s disposal.
Probable Napoli XI (4-2-3-1): Ospina; Malcuit, Rrahmani, Jesus, Di Lorenzo; Anguissa, Demme; Politano, Zielinski, Lozano; Mertens.
