GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Genoa – one change from Torino draw

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan go into tonight’s game against Genoa at San Siro knowing that they simply must win to keep their Scudetto hopes alive.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) reports that Stefano Pioli should field a defence of Mike Maignan in goal with Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of him.

Ismael Bennacer is back from the muscle fatigue that kept him out of the Torino game last Sunday and he will come back into the double pivot alongside Sandro Tonali, with Franck Kessie pushing up to be the attacking midfielder.

Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud will be hoping to build on their tally of eight league goals for the season while Alexis Saelemaekers is tipped to get the nod on the right wing.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Tonali, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Kessie, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Genoa XI (4-2-3-1): Sirigu; Hefti, Ostigard, Maksimovic, Vasquez; Badelj, Galdames; Gudmundsson, Melegoni, Ekuban; Destro.

  1. Why can’t the coach start rebic in the top and bench giroud who has been playing this games with out a goal to show or better still start rebic on the right flank instead of saleamakers
