Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi is a more plausible signing than Nicolo Zaniolo this summer for AC Milan, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) today, Milan are still hunting for a player that can improve both the quality and the depth of their attacking midfield trio that plays behind Olivier Giroud.
The right-hand side in particular is the area where the Rossoneri would love to have a new player and multiple names have been linked with the club.
From within Italy, the two names mentioned the most have been Berardi and Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo, who is also a target for Juventus.
It is Berardi that would be more likely to join Milan because the finances involved in the transfer are more realistic for Milan.
The price for Zaniolo would almost certainly end up surpassing Milan’s reported €50 million transfer budget whereas Berardi could be available for around €25 million.
I highly doubt Sassuolo only want 25 Mil for Berardi, if so he’d be snatched up already
He has had over 20 G+A for 3 years now, no one really looked at him seriously at any of the previous seasons.
How many G+A had Leao? And everybody talks about him like he is big star.
They’ve been asking for 40M€ for some time now and no one has bought him. And no one will buy him for that price. 25M€ and that’s it. A decent RW for Milan finally.
Berardi €25m and Asensio also available for €25m. I will go for Asensio any day. Has more potential for growth and also increase in market value
why because he is one and a half year younger than berradi ? has far worse stats both for club and international team ? berradi is more of a guarantee than asensio in my book and he propably will take shorter time adjusting to the team and on top of that he would also count as a homehrown player in cl. Sure asensio might come at half the salary for his first 2 seasons but he and his agent will most likely also demand more in sign on fees and the 2 players compared to eachother berradi pretty much has twice as good an outcome as asensio and that in less matches than the spaniard has played.
No guarantees what so ever that Asensio will make it in Serie A. With Berardi you know you will get double digits in goals AND assists each year. Plus Milan needs more Italians to get bigger squad in UCL.
Rashford should be the very first Milan’s investment.
Has anyone noticed how Berardi’s legs are so loose when they run and do their side-to-side turns? It is like their legs go on “slow mo” mode as they wobble about. Very much like most players. I feel like they should be slower than anyone else in Serie A, but it works for them considering their Goals and Assists last few seasons.
It’s all in the cleverness of the dribble, the pass and the positioning…an eye for goal, if you will.
