GdS: Stefano Pioli’s fate is sealed but he wants revenge against Milan’s owners Elliott

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli’s time as AC Milan head coach is drawing towards its conclusion as each game passes, but he is as determined as ever.

According to what Tuttosport are reporting (via MilanLive), the Emilian coach has been left smiling by the Rossoneri’s return to league action since the break due to COVID-19, with his side having won both games, scoring six times and conceding once in the process.

There is an imminent revolution at Milan that is taking shape with Ralf Rangnick set to be at the helm, and the paper adds that the club chose him December regardless of how the season could have ended.

Pioli – who arrived to replace Marco Giampaolo in October – has raised a Milan squad that was on its knees after a disastrous start, giving the team an identity and enhanced the whole squad by revitalising the summer purchases and using the January reinforcements well.

However, it will not be enough for Elliott Management Corporation as what is certain is that at the end of the season Rangnick will land at Milan.

In any case, Pioli wants to leave his mark before saying goodbye, to drag the team to Europe and prove his own credentials and perhaps even make Elliott reflect.
