GdS: Theo Hernandez wants to stay despite interest from abroad – talks over new deal may begin soon

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have no intentions of selling full-back Theo Hernandez this summer despite his many admirers from abroad, according to a report.

Theo Hernandez has made a lot of vital contributions this season including his brace to rescue a point against Parma and the last-minute winner against Lazio to ensure the Rossoneri were top at Christmas, and even though he has struggled for form in 2021 so far the club believe in him. The Frenchman is the symbol of the Milan project: a low-cost coup, young and with potential to grow.

That is what the 22-year-old’s future is at Milan. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), many clubs like the former Real Madrid defender – especially abroad – but he intends to stay with the Rossoneri. It is not excluded that at the end of the season he will be offered an extension of the current contract expiring in 2024, the paper adds.
