GdS: Milan not done after Chukwueze – three more signings could arrive

AC Milan have had a very busy first 23 days of the summer transfer window but their business is not done and they could add three more signings, a report claims.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan have spent almost €100m on new signings this summer when factoring in the imminent arrival of Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal, and it is €107m when factoring in bonuses.

In terms of paid-for signings, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has joined from Chelsea in a deal that could reach €20m, Tijjani Reijnders arrived from AZ Alkmaar for €25m, Christian Pulisic cost €20m and now Noah Okafor is a Rossoneri player for €14m.

The sale of Sandro Tonali has financed a varied market, with five signings – also considering Chukwueze – and the free transfers of Luka Romero and Marco Sportiello, but they are not done yet.

The management take some time to make adjustments and fine-tune the squad. A left-back will definitely arrive, but Riccardo Calafiori of Basel still doesn’t convince everyone, while Yunus Musah is wanted for the midfield and a young striker would be the icing on the cake too.

  1. RB, yes RB. We need a new arrival who just not a deputy to Calabria, but a player who can challange or even take on Calabria starting spot.

  2. I think we should give Colombo a chance than going for a young striker. And it is also unlikely to find a promising young LB who will be willing to sit on the bench for the majority of the games in my opinion. I would say we should look into LBs that are in their late 20s, have good speed and crossing abilities.

    1. Ye,as long is Krunić is far away from the starting eleven we are fine.

We need a good backup for Theo, you never know with injuries, what if he is somehow out for 6,7 months like Bennacer now,we are _ucked if we dont have at least decent left back who can replace him.

  3. Non of the right back can bench Calebria. The management is looking for a left back that can replace Theo full by the end of the coming season. Note this. I believe Musah will arrive.

    1. LOL. Calabria is the one that’s more likely to leave and his form has been up and down. There are many more RBs that can be found than LBs. Theo isn’t going anywhere after the upcoming season.

If you think we’re getting rid of Theo lmao…

  4. I’m absolutely convinced that Milan’s last recruit in the last few days before September will be Lukaku. He’ll be the big surprise at the end of the mercato. He will come on a 2-year loan with an obligation to buy in several stages. In any case, at 35 or 36, we can always sell him to the Saudis at a high price.
Okafor will be Leao’s understudy, just in case. And that’s why he’ll be wearing the number 17. However, he will be able to play in the striker’s role from time to time to back up Giroud.

  5. I don’t see why Calafiori is that bad… he did play in the Conference League. And is still pretty promising.

But I knew there was a possibility we could sign another striker. I knew they considered Okafor more as a rotational winger.

And as far as people saying that Theo will be sold, nah. Not happening.

  6. Get a back up LB; Singo for Messias + cash and Musah and we are closed.

I doubt we also go after another striker. Okafor will be the jack of all trades back up LW and striker and we still have Origi and CDK on the team and they may refuse to leave. Origi is out of the first team for now but CDK is not. So unless Columbo is sold/loaned out and Origi and CDK are sold I don’t think we spend any $$$ on a #9. Would love Wahi but looks like the heir to Giroud will wait until next summer.

  7. We don’t need an ordinary RB, we need another Dani Alves. I kindly and humbly challenge everybody to please check out for ” GUGA GOMES” who plays for Fluminese. He’s better thaugh he can deputize Calabria well.

    1. Im not judging or offense, but its a little bit funny in my mind. In every different articles that talk about fullback, you always mentioned GUGA GOMES (with capital letters). Im not sure if you are biggest admirer or representative of that guga guy. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

  8. Theo or Leao are likely to be sold next summer. The new present is that Milan sell their best players when big offers come in and have young, promising backups at the ready to replace then. This investment of 100 mill this year is 80% Tonalis transfer fee, and that money is expected to grow. Players? Team? You mean Assets and Showroom.

We are aiming for 4th spot or better, and paying 50 mill in dividends per summer.

We won’t see another summer of investment for a decade, and likely a sale of the club before that.

  9. Tonali is not above of every single player that Milan buy so far. Despite their different position. More players is better than one. Especially if they are equal or better than we sold (Tonali in this case). With mercato of our big opponents in this league, we can reach second star in our jersey..
