There will be several AC Milan players who will make their Champions League debut during tomorrow’s game against Liverpool, and Sandro Tonali is one of them.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes this morning, there have been a number of players deployed in the double pivot this season already from Rade Krunic and Ismael Bennacer to Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko, but the one player to start all three games was Tonali and he did not suffer from having a constantly changing partner.
Milan have arrived at the new season with a different Tonali compared to last season, one who appears far more confident and is playing with personality. He shows physicality in recovering the ball and conviction when striding forward.
During Sunday’s win over Lazio, Sandro showed off his entire repertoire and now he is the new idol of the fans. Now we must see if the dazzling Tonali from the first games has what it takes to withstand the impact of Anfield.
