GdS: Trofeo Berlusconi clash between Milan and Monza will be sold out

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Monza in the first edition of the Trofeo Silvio Berluscon, in honour of the late former owner of both clubs, and a big crowd is expected. In fact, it should be completely sold out.

Milan have just one game left of their pre-season tour in the US, taking on Barcelona tomorrow, and after that they will travel back to Italy. Before the start of the season, they have four friendlies scheduled and the first is against Monza.

The Rossoneri will face them in the first edition of Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi, in memory of the late former owner of both clubs. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, the game should be completely sold out with 16,900 present.

The game is scheduled for 21:00 CEST on August 8 and Milan will likely field a rather strong XI. The day after, August 9, the Rossoneri will face Trento at Milanello and that will be an opportunity for those that won’t play much in the first clash.
