The market value of AC Milan summer signing Theo Hernandez has vastly increased from the amount the Rossoneri invested, a report claims.
Hernandez was Milan’s first signing of the previous mercato, arriving on a five-year deal from Real Madrid, and he has been one of the bright spots in an otherwise disastrous start to the season.
The Frenchman has usurped Ricardo Rodriguez to become the starting left-back, but Radio Kiss Kiss (via Calciomercato.it) recently reported that he could have chosen a move to Napoli instead.
In the end though, Paolo Maldini’s charm offensive proved to be decisive, and Hernandez has settled in to life in Milano as well as could have been hoped.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan spent €21million to purchase him from LaLiga and are instantly seeing the reward for their investment.
The newspaper writes that his valuation on the market has now leapt up to €35million – a rise of around 75 per cent on the fee paid out.
