GdS: Benefitting the youngsters and sponsors – Milan’s training camp in Dubai

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s training camp in Dubai has come to an end and the team will be back at Milanello tomorrow for a session in the afternoon. The camp, among other things, gave the youngsters the chance to shine.

Milan played two friendlies during their time in Dubai, taking on Arsenal and Liverpool, but they unfortunately lost them both. As Gazzetta Dello Sport highlights, though, several Primavera players got to show themselves in front of Stefano Pioli. Gabriele El Hilali and Andrea Bozzolan being the best ones.

In addition to the youngsters getting some playing time, Milan also officially signed the new agreement with Emirates worth €30m per year (used to be €15m per year). It’s a very important partnership for the club and a huge step in the right direction.

The camp also gave Milan a bitter taste, as the newspaper continues, given that Divock Origi sustained another injury and could be out for a while. It’s the one thing Pioli didn’t want as he now only has Giroud to rely on (and he’s been overworked lately). As a whole, though, the training camp was a success.
