GdS: Ziyech, Milik, Kalajdzic, Harit, Ikone and more – latest on Milan’s plans for the attack

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a lot of work to do in order to get their attacking department fully ready for the 2021-22 season, a report has claimed.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, Milan are waiting for updates on Ibrahimovic’s knee condition but if he were to face a long spell out then at least two new top-quality strikers would be needed. An agreement with Olivier Giroud is there but the Frenchman has to free himself from Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Dusan Vlahovic and Gianluca Scamacca of Fiorentina and Sassuolo respectively seem to have faded as targets, but in the last few days there has been talk of Sasa Kalajdzic of Stuttgart and Arkadiusz Milik of Marseille as targets.

The No.10 position also remains shrouded in mystery as Hakan Calhanoglu has not yet renewed while for Brahim Diaz a new agreement with Real Madrid must be found. Rodrigo De Paul has vanished, so Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech is now the object of desire with Amine Harit’s another option.

On the right, a winger is sought to replace Samu Castillejo and Amine Adli of Toulouse is on pole, while Jonathan Ikoné of Lille has been liked for some time and Roma’s Cengiz Under is not to be excluded as an option. On the left, Leao and Rebic should be enough, but there are no longer any absolute certainties on the permanence of both. Here too, a plan B must be identified.
