AC Milan are one of the teams who are interested in signing Andrea Cambiaso from Genoa given their seemingly imminent relegation, a report claims.
As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it wrote back in March, Fode Ballo-Toure has not convinced Milan and that is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are already hard at work looking for his replacement. There are already three names on the list: Fabiano Parisi of Empoli, Andrea Cambiaso of Genoa and Aaron Hickey of Bologna.
Calciomercato.com report that Genoa’s relegation to Serie B would mean that a number of their brightest players are likely to leave, and Cambiaso is one of them given that he has been one of the more positive notes in another difficult seasons.
He came through the academy so they would generate a pure capital gain on his sale. He has a contract expiring in June 2023 and many admirers who in January tried to bring him in, but in the summer it is likely that Milan, Juventus, Inter, Napoli and Atalanta will all circle.
How is Hickey on any list as an affordable backup? His value is like €20mn and if reports are to be believed, is on his way to Arsenal.
More realistic journalism please
Didn’t we have a young Primavera left back last year who was meant to be the next big thing. I can’t remember his name. What happened to him?
Milos Kerkez has been sold. He requested to leave in January.
