This afternoon, it is being reported that AC Milan and Genoa are in the final stages of sorting a move for Lorenzo Colombo.
There has been quite a lot of interest in the Italian striker this summer, and it seems that he will head to Genoa, with reports stating they have made their position stronger in the past few days, getting closer to an agreement.

Today, it has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio that the final stages are close, with the two parties ‘finalising’ the last details to finish the deal. Only a few more things must be sorted before the deal can be completed.
It will be structured as a loan deal with an option to buy, though, it could become mandatory. In the event that Colombo scores and plays a certain number of times, whilst the Rossoblu secure their Serie A position, the move would become permanent for a figure of €10 million.
Considering the forward was listed as a player to shift this summer, it is more good business from the Rossoneri, getting moves secured, with others also in the pipeline to leave Milano this summer. Whether this deal will impact any incomings, though, remains to be seen.

Colombo is a random Italian about which you cannot state that he understands what it means to be Milan. It is the same. Moreover his numbers are not impresive, last season he had 6 goals in 37 matches, half of that were penalties.
Letting him leave for 10 million is rather positive for both sides. He needs club where he can play, and we need a top striker, and I do not care if he is Italian or not, he needs to deliver.
He has an impressive work rate, but other than that, he does not excel in any particular area at an elite level. He is a mid-table club that may blossom into a 15-goal striker per season by the time he is 27.
