Santiago Gimenez should return to AC Milan duty soon, with him getting to the end of his recovery process.
Milan have had to make do without their striker for some time now. In fact, Niclas Fullkrug’s addition means that Massimiliano Allegri does have one option to call upon. However, he would like another to use.
It seemed he was going to be getting two options in January, but things changed, and only the German arrived, perhaps with Gimenez’s return in mind. Regardless of that, with the Rossoneri being questionable in attack this year, El Bebote’s return to action may only be a good thing.
Gimenez’s return soon?
Corriere dello Sport, via MilanNews, write that the check-up in Amsterdam was positive, and the process for his return will start now. However, it may not be as quick as the Mexican had hoped for. Reports previously suggested that he hoped to be back for this weekend’s derby, but that seems maybe a little too fast.
It may not be too much longer, though, with suggestions that he can return to training today to be called up by Allegri by the middle of the month.

Indeed, the striker would be ‘like a new signing’ for the Italian, who is still hoping to find an answer to his side’s attacking performances.

Yes – excited to see those balls arrowing wide of the post again…
last 20 minutes against for Santi against Merda?
Nice, competition is good for business. We will see who we will keep or which player(s) they want to sell or replace. Maybe leao will leave
They will get the most money out of it…
Or cap..
Ben, just stop, please. Gimenez has been a colossal disaster. No one, but you, is excited by his return.
Believe that he will be better than ever but we need a physical and mobile striker alongside fullkrug. Injury can make a player inaccurate g
