Giornale: Entire Milan management meet to discuss future – renewals and transfer plans at stake

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s planning for next season is likely to change based on the outcome of Sunday’s trip to Atalanta, according to a report.

Milan’s failure to beat an already safe Cagliari on Sunday night means they must win in Bergamo on Sunday to guarantee a return to the Champions League, a competition they haven’t taken part in since the 2013-14 season.

As reported by Il Giornale (via MilanNews), a meeting was held yesterday with the entire Milan management. Elliott Management’s Gordon Singer was also present, along with directors Paolo Maldini, Frederic Massara and CEO Ivan Gazidis.

The talking point was obviously the immediate future of the club, which will change based on whether or not they qualify for the next Champions League. However, it is very likely that the corporate plans will change if Milan do not reach their big target. Contract renewals, the transfer market and keeping some key players are the points to be evaluated.
