MN: Giroud intends to extend his stay with Milan after the World Cup

By Euan Burns -

Olivier Giroud intends to extend his stay with AC Milan and it will be discussed when he returns from the 2022 Qatar World Cup, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the French striker is set to address his future when he returns from the World Cup with France.

He looks set to be the starting striker in the whole tournament for Les Bleus because Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has been ruled out with an injury that he could not shake.

This means that the time in Qatar will definitely not be a rest for Giroud having played a significant number of games for the Rossoneri in the first chunk of the season.

Regardless of that, he does not feel like an ageing player and he intends to continue his time with Milan beyond the end of his current contract which will expire in June 2023.

The club agree and it will be discussed on his return.
