Giroud refuses to confirm summer move is complete: “The season is not over”

By Ben Dixon -

Olivier Giroud looks set to enter a new chapter in the summer, with his move away from AC Milan all but confirmed by the relevant parties. However, in an interview, he refused to confirm where his future lies.

Giroud will play in the MLS next season after reports have confirmed that he has an 18-month contract waiting for him when his contract with Milan expires in the summer. Whilst this is an emotional decision, it has been made with his future in mind, and there will be no hard feelings from either side.

Regardless of his move, the Frenchman is a true professional and will not allow his future to distract him from his present situation.

In the lead-up to his decision, it has been consistently reported that he will not decide until the end of the season. However, whilst it is believed that a decision has been made, he is refusing to publicise this, ensuring he remains focused for the rest of the campaign, as shown in a recent interview with Telefoot (via MilanNews).

Will you be joining Hugo Lloris at LAFC?

“No comment! I am with the French team, and the season is not over. Nothing to declare!”
