Olivier Giroud is ready to sign his new contract with AC Milan and he is set to earn the same amount as on his current deal, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the French striker is set to earn the same €3.5 million salary on his new contract as he has been earning on his current contract.
It is believed that Milan will be meeting with the player and his agent immediately after the January transfer window has closed in order to finalise the deal.
No issues are expected to arise from that meeting as Milan and the player have every will to carry on together.
Giroud has become one of Milan’s most important players since he joined the club and whilst he could do with some cover in attack, he has led the line impressively for a 36-year-old.
The new deal is expected to run for one year.
